Small Group Experience Curated by The Edventives Group

Catherine Jones, CITE, CMP, CMM, MA, MBA
Founder & CEO
Catherine’s unique background has made her the conference partner of choice for a diverse clientele including nonprofits, educational institutions, and corporate clients. Trained as a academic, Catherine fell into meeting planning while pursuing her Masters degree in History. Fluent in French, she landed a position in 1994 as a translator for the francophone teams competing in the 1994 FIFA World Cup, hosted in Dallas. At that moment, she was hooked and has made meetings and incentive her professional calling. Catherine has worked in all aspects of travel including destination management (DMCs), for large travel interests including The Globus Family of Brands and major meeting planning companies such as American Express where she had a successful career in sourcing and contracting hotel properties for meetings of all sizes.
The Edventives Group was founded to address the needs of largely overlooked clients in meeting planning; associations, nonprofits and corporate clients with unique corporate learning needs. Catherine’s experience in development at Zoo Atlanta, as well as the Director of Individual Giving for Dallas Theater Center honed her skills in successfully working with an all volunteer staff for events. Additionally, her academic background, listening and research abilities ensure that each client and their needs are understood and that their program reflects their mission.
Catherine partners so successfully with her clients that in 2018, a long standing client, The National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers asked her not only to be their meeting planner, but also their Executive Director, a position that she still holds.
