Early morning arrival in Sydney.  We will be met by our guide and private coach that will escort us to our hotel.  After dropping off our luggage, we will embark on a tour of the legendary Sydney Opera House and the area known as “The Rocks”, the historic heart of Sydney.  This afternoon, for those looking for a thrilling view of Sydney, an optional “Bridge Climb” of the famed Sydney Bridge will be offered. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Sydney. (D)
 
Monday, June 15th, 2020- Day 4
Breakfast in Hotel.  Visit to Rape and Domestic Violence Services Australia, a NGO dedicated to delivering evidence-based, best practice services for those impacted by sexual assault and domestic violence.  Established in the early 1970s, the Service is a non-profit community organization managed by a group of committed women. Participants will enjoy a presentation on the history of this community initiative, the services provided, and the reach of this organization.  Afternoon sightseeing. Overnight Sydney. (B)
 
Tuesday, June 16th, 2020- Day 5
After breakfast, we will proceed to the Sydney airport for our flight to Cairns.  Upon arrival, we will be transferred to the Daintree forest where we will enjoy a traditional Dream Time experience.  Led by an aboriginal shaman, this fascinating walk takes students through the Daintree Rainforest for an immersive experience into the aboriginal culture.  Learn from tribe elders about the male rite of passage, The Walkabout, where adolescent males are sent to live in the wilderness for up to 6 months.  Participants will learn how traditional medicine and healing plants are used to help young men survive this journey. Guests may choose to participate in the optional Flames in the Forest Dinner.  Overnight Port Douglas  (B)

Thursday, June 18th, 2020- Day 7
This morning we depart for the Outback and the remote outpost of Alice Springs.  Today’s presentation, hosted by Flinder’s University will focus on the practice of forensic nursing and issues of cultural importance with indigenous populations.  Overnight Alice Springs.  (B)
 
Friday, June 19th, 2020- Day 8
Located at the Alice Springs Royal Airbase, The Royal Flying Doctors of Australia are our hosts this morning.  The RFDS use teams of doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and other medical specialists to bring medical care to underserved and diverse rural populations by small plane. We will meet some of the RFDS teams during this engaging presentation, prior to our flight to Uluru and Ayers Rock.  This evening, the group will have the opportunity to participate in the optional Lights in the Desert dinner. Saturday, June 20th, 2020- Day 9
We are up first thing for a tour of Uluru, formerly known as Ayers Rock.  This aboriginal spiritual site and natural wonder lies at the heart of much of Australian culture.  We will visit Uluru, Kata Juta, as well as the entrance to the Mutitjulu Waterhole.  Return to the hotel briefly prior to our flight to Sydney.  Overnight in Sydney. Sunday, June 21st, 2020- Day 10
Today we bid Australia farewell.  Early transfer to airport with onward service to the US. (B)
