Mr. Baty serves the tilt-up industry as Manager for Regulatory and Technical Affairs, having been part of the management staff for the Tilt-Up Concrete Association since 2001. He holds a Bachelor’s of Architecture from Iowa State University and fellowship with both the American Concrete Institute and the Tilt-Up Concrete Association. James is also the Executive Director for the Concrete Foundations Association, since 2015, serving the residential concrete industry since 2001 as well. A member of the American Concrete Institute, he maintains voting member status on committees 003, 306, 332, 551 and the newly-formed 380 for Structural Plain Concrete, as well as certification committees C-650 and C-655. His role in the industry contributes expertise for the advocacy and technical management of construction issues for all facets of the building industry.
